Facebook’s Meta founder Mark Zuckerberg has surpassed Tesla’s Elon Musk to claim the title of the world’s third richest person. This marks Zuckerberg’s first time achieving this position since around 2020.
According to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Elon Musk has slipped to fourth place on the list of the world’s wealthiest individuals with a net worth of $181 billion (over ₹15.07 lakh crores). At the beginning of March, he held the top spot. Meanwhile, Mark Zuckerberg’s net worth stands at $187 billion (over ₹15.57 lakh crores).
This year, Musk’s net worth has decreased by $48.4 billion (over ₹4.03 lakh crores), while Zuckerberg has seen an increase of $58.9 billion (over ₹4.90 lakh crores) in his wealth.
Notably, no Indian billionaire ranks in the top ten. Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani holds the eleventh position with a net worth of $112 billion (about ₹9.32 lakh crore), while Gautam Adani ranks fourteenth with a net worth of $104 billion (₹8.66 lakh crore).
